DTAC 2009 Toastmasters Conference

Dear Fellow Toastmasters,

DTAC 2009 is a dream come true to the Toastmasters in Division H. The DTAC 2009 will be held at Abu Dhabi from 21st to 23rd of May 2009. Division H, the Home of DTAC 2009 is getting prepared to celebrate the grand festival of all Toastmasters in District 79 in the most appropriate manner possible. All Toastmasters in Division H are eagerly waiting to receive their counterparts in other Divisions, District officials as well as the dignitaries taking part in the grand event. We also solicit the active support and co-operation of all Toastmasters in other Divisions in conducting the event, as DTAC is the grand festival of all Toastmasters in District 79.

Preparation for DTAC 2009 is taking place meticulously under the leadership of DTAC Chairman, Dr. Nasif Dhafari DTM. Various committees and subcommittees are formed. Regular meetings of the DTAC steering committee are held to evaluate the progress achieved so far, and to take new measures to face the challenges ahead. Leaders of Division, Areas, and Clubs are participating in the weekly meetings of the DTAC steering committee. This enables the information with regard to the weekly meetings reaches each and every member of the clubs instantly. Several milestones have been passed and there are many more challenges to be overcome. The District Governor and other District officials also provide valuable support and inputs as and when required. Some of the top speakers in the world are taking part as guest speakers. Undoubtedly, DTAC 2009 will be one of the best DTACs held in the history of our District.

Conducting DTAC provides a number of Toastmasters the opportunity to display their leadership qualities. After all, Toastmasters program itself is meant for improving the communication and leadership qualities of its members. There is no greater opportunity than the DTAC for the Toastmasters in the District to test their leadership capabilities. I earnestly appeal all Toastmasters in our Division to actively get involved in the conducting of the DTAC by taking any role, either big or small to make this event a grand success. As in the case of our regular Toastmasters meeting, or various club leadership positions from Sergeant at Arms to Club President, every role has got its own importance. I have no doubt in saying that the Toastmasters in Division H will rise to the occasion and do their level best to make this grand gala event DTAC 2009, a memorable one in the history of our District. I would also like to reiterate that all Toastmasters and guests attending DTAC 2009 will have a lot of sweet memories to take back along with them after the event.
